Michelle Lentzner began practicing intellectual property and employment law in Silicon Valley over twenty years ago. Following a brief stint as a litigator with a Bay Area insurance defense firm, Michelle joined a New York-based law firm as an associate in its Palo Alto office. While in Silicon Valley, she advised large and small businesses about constantly evolving employment laws, represented employers both in court and at administrative agency hearings, and assisted clients in protecting their trade secrets, copyrights and trademarks.
In 1998, Michelle and her growing family decided to move to the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where she now continues to practice law. For many years, Michelle served as a senior associate attorney for a medium-sized Portland-area law firm. She continued to advise employers about managing their workforce, avoiding lawsuits and protecting their trade secrets and trademarks. Michelle also represented businesses in Federal and State court, and in Federal and State agency investigations of discrimination, as well as in wage and hour audits. Additionally, Michelle participated in the Clackamas County Deputy District Attorney Special Prosecutor’s Program for several months. During this time, she successfully tried two DUII cases.
In August 2012, Michelle launched her own practice focusing on trademarks and employment law. Her clients range from individuals to multi-million dollar businesses. Michelle also works as a contract attorney for various law firms that rely on her expertise. For more information about Michelle’s law practice, please see Intellectual Property and Employment Law.
Michelle and her husband, also an attorney, enjoy spending time with their family, going to the theater and concerts, exercising, cooking, reading, traveling, and volunteering in their community.
